Uzbekistan bought 8.1 tons of gold in February

In February 2023, Uzbekistan became one of the countries that bought the most gold. The country purchased 8.1 tons of gold this month, according to the World Gold Council.

In total, during the period under review, world central banks purchased 51.7 tons of gold.

The largest purchases were made by China (24.9 tons) and Turkey (22.5 tons). Uzbekistan took the third place in the ranking.

Also, neighboring Kazakhstan became the country that sold the most gold - 13.1 tons.
