Uzbekistan has been able to freely shape its place, value and traditions from history in the international arena. In recent years, the head of state has been establishing active and effective cooperation with a number of countries.

According to sources, on September 4, 2018, the president of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdulfattah as-Sisi arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit. Within the framework of the visit, a number of receptions were organized. And at the business forum between the two countries, an agreement was reached on contracts worth $ 400 million.

12 documents have been signed on tourism, investment, tax, justice, agriculture, cultural heritage and sports, Foreign Affairs and youth.

On October 11, 2018, the Chief Imam of Egypt, the head of the Al-Azhar complex Sheikh Ahmad Muhammad Tayyib arrived in Uzbekistan and was received by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The meeting was supported by proposals for the establishment of the Department of Al-Azhar University as part of the International Islamic Academy, the teaching of famous Egyptian scientists in the Republic, preferential education of young scientists in the Al-Azhar magistracy, the creation of a joint fatwa jury of the two state scholars, the holding of scientific conferences.
