«Uzbekistan has cut off electricity, now people are facing problems» - Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan

Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaki urged Uzbekistan to supply electricity to his country in the volumes agreed in an earlier agreement between them.

"Uzbekistan has cut off electricity; now people are facing problems. The point of brotherhood and neighbourhood is to cooperate and help in a difficult situation," Muttaki said.

The acting Afghan foreign minister said the Uzbek authorities should keep their promise and provide electricity to Afghanistan in accordance with the signed contract.
