Uzbekistan has ratified another agreement within the CIS

In the past six months, the republic has joined three agreements on cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved an agreement on the establishment of the Council of Chairmen of the Supreme Courts of the CIS.

The Supreme Court has been appointed as the republic's authority responsible for implementing the agreement.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to notify the Commonwealth of Independent States that Uzbekistan has fulfilled the internal procedures required for the entry into force of the agreement.

It should be noted that the document was signed on October 15, 2021 at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State.

In late March, Uzbekistan joined the agreement on cooperation in the field of official statistics between the CIS countries, and in early February, the agreement on information cooperation in the field of transport security of the CIS countries.

In October, the republic joined the Commonwealth Agreement on Geodesy, Cartography, Cadastre and Remote Sensing.

CIS leaders will soon sign an anti-corruption agreement.
