Uzbekistan-Hungary: expanding cross-university education programmes

Minister of Higher and Specialised Secondary Education met with Rector of Debrecen University Zoltán Szilvássy as part of his meeting with the rectors of Hungary's prestigious higher education institutions. At the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to further expansion of cooperation and relations between the two countries' universities.
It was also noted that the level of education and quality assurance experience in Uzbek universities, as well as Debrecen University, is important, and all opportunities have been mobilized from this academic year.
For his part, Professor Szilvássy expressed willingness to provide all possible assistance to facilitate and accelerate the attainment of this goal.
During the conversation, the Мinister mentioned that plans were underway to establish a unique research and production centre in the city of Tashkent, which would be important for the chemical industry, linking education, science and production. It said it would expand educational programmes with Debrecen University.
