Uzbekistan is one of the five largest saffron plantations in the world

BMW Trade Group products will soon enter the Saudi Arabian and South Korean markets.

On October 20 of this year, BMB Trade Group organized an event in the form of a dialogue with the participation of official representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the khokimiyat of the Jizzakh region, as well as the representative of the Italian company Fin Opera Massimo Buszheni, the chairman of the Tajik company AVAS Engineering Azim Khakimov, a specialist of the Korean of CG Gina Park, aimed at developing an efficient system of growing and organizing saffron plantations, its industrial processing.

To date, another batch of trucks with 20 million saffron bulbs from Italy has been successfully sold in seven countries of Eurasia - Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.

The parties especially noted that today Uzbekistan is one of the five largest saffron plantations in the world.

During the conversation, the chairman of the supervisory board of BMB Trade Group, Bekzod Mamatkulov, said that the saffron bulbs planted on the Jizzakh land are imported directly from Italy.
"The processes of its cultivation were controlled jointly with Italian specialists. Chemical fertilizers were not applied during the care process. It is gratifying that hard work has borne fruit - the first crop was harvested already in 2020," said the chairman of the council.

BMB Trade Group products will soon enter the Saudi Arabian and South Korean markets. In addition, an export contract was signed with the Korean company CG this year.

What is saffron?
This plant is considered very valuable, since the cultivation and collection of raw materials is carried out exclusively by manual labor. Today saffron is grown in more than fifteen countries, such as Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, China, India, Australia.
