Uzbekistan judo team wins 3 gold medals at Grand Slam tournament

Tashkent Grand Slam Judo Tournament organized by the Yunusabad Sports Complex has come to an end. In competition among athletes from 49 countries the national team of Uzbekistan won the second place in the team event after Japan.

Our athletes won 3 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze, 8 medals in total.

In team event the Japanese judo team, the motherland of judo, took the 1st place with 9 medals (4 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze), and the Austrian team with 2 medals (1 gold, 1 silver) took the 3rd place.

It is worth noting that this is a new record for the national team of Uzbekistan in terms of medals at Grand Slam tournaments! For the first time the national judo team of Uzbekistan has shown the highest result in quantity and quality of medals.

In uncompromising competition, Murodjon Yuldashev won gold medal in -73kg, Davlat Bobonov -90kg and Alisher Yusupov +100kg. It is worth noting that this is a new record for the Uzbekistan national team in terms of number of medals at Grand Slam tournaments!
