Uzbekistan recognised as one of the safest countries in the world

"International SOS presented a report on the most dangerous countries and the safest countries in the world in 2022. It said Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, Syria, Ukraine and a number of other countries were considered the most dangerous, while Uzbekistan was recognised as the safest country, with the US, Spain, Sweden, the UK, Qatar and France also recognised.

"The level of violent crime is very low. There is no political repression, civil unrest or religious or racial aggression against foreigners. Security and emergency services are efficient and the infrastructure is reliable. Transport services are of a high standard, security regulations are strict and only occasional travel disruptions are possible," the definition of high-security countries reads.

The report also lists Iraq, Libya, Mali, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen as the most dangerous countries to visit in 2022. Congo, Egypt, Nigeria and Pakistan are on the list of regions with "extreme travel security risks".
