Uzbekistan to launch electricity production from waste gas

The electricity generation complex will be built by processing waste gases at the Ohangaron and Maidontol landfills in the Tashkent region.
It is noted that electricity with a total production capacity of at least 16 MW will be produced from waste gas.
The project will be implemented with the participation of Korean company Sejin G&E with a direct investment of $55 million.
As a result of this project, a power plant will be created by processing waste gas from large landfill sites, which is the only one not only in Uzbekistan, but also in the Central Asian region.
