Uzbekistan to test apartment buildings for seismic resistance

By August 1, 2023, a radar system of space monitoring will be established to determine factors such as deformation, displacement, and subsidence of buildings and structures located in earthquake-prone zones due to earthquakes.

It has been established that apartment buildings in the republic must undergo annual seismic resistance tests.

Based on the results of the report, proposals will be made to local authorities for the gradual construction of new housing to replace seismically weak and with signs of breakdown apartment buildings that have gone out of service.
