Uzbekistan will buy 10 trains from Russia for the metro

By the end of the year, Uzbekistan will purchase 10 trains from the Russian company Metrovagonmash, each of which will consist of four cars.

The purchase of 10 Russian trains for the Tashkent metro will cost 63 million euros. Of this amount, approximately 50 million euros will be spent on the purchase of the cars themselves, and the remaining part will be related expenses (currency conversion, insurance, customs payments).

Air conditioning, ventilation and air disinfection systems are installed in the passenger compartment of the trains. The head cars are also equipped with places for wheelchairs.

At the moment, 5 such trains are operating in the capital of Uzbekistan.
