Uzbekistan will start issuing banknotes in denominations of 2,000 (two thousand) soums and 20,000 (twenty thousand) soums

The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan will soon start issuing banknotes in denominations of 2,000 soums and 20,000 soums.

The press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis reported on the approval of the samples and designs of new banknotes submitted by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with article 40 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan On the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, samples of banknotes, as well as their design, are approved by the Central Bank in coordination with the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The descriptions and designs of these banknotes will be published by the Central Bank in the appropriate order.
