The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov addressed the XXIV plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

Uzbekistan's bilateral and multilateral relations with partner countries are steadily developing.

In particular, relations with the CIS countries, Russia, China, the United States and the European Union, South Korea and Japan in the Asia-Pacific region, India and Pakistan in the South Asia region, partner countries in the Middle East, America, Africa and Oceania are expanding. During 2021, about 1,000 visits, meetings, negotiations and presentations at various levels were held with foreign partners.

Within international organizations, including the UN, SCO, CIS, World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Union, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Organization of Turkic States, the Economic Cooperation Organization and international financial institutions (World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Asian Development) Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank, Islamic Development Bank). Within the framework of these organizations, Uzbekistan's initiatives are widely supported.

In particular, within the framework of the day-to-day activities of the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, 5 special resolutions and resolutions on more than 50 international initiatives of the President in various fields were adopted and distributed among member states. Uzbekistan actively participates in the activities of international organizations such as the Organization of Turkic States, the Conference on Cooperation and Confidence Building Measures in Asia.

One of our main tasks this year is to hold the presidency of Uzbekistan in the SCO, the Turkic states and the Economic Cooperation Organization at a high level, to prepare for the summits of these organizations at a high level and thoroughly.
