Uzbekistan's gold and foreign currency reserves amounted to $35.8 billion

As of 1 January this year, foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan amounted to $35.8 billion. It is noted that the reserves increased by $2.3 billion compared to the previous month.

They mainly consist of gold and foreign currency. In December, currency appreciated by $1.7 billion ($11.6 billion in total) and gold rose by $600 million ($22.46 billion in total).

Last December, Uzbekistan's foreign exchange reserves were reported to have increased for the second consecutive month. The country has about 395 tonnes of gold in its reserves. However, according to sources, it decreased by 3 tonnes compared to November.
