Uzbekistan's gold and foreign exchange reserves have increased by almost $ 1 billion

According to the Central Bank, Uzbekistan's gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by $ 935.6 million in a month, reaching $ 35.36 billion as of March 1.

The increase in gross reserves was due to foreign currency assets (an increase of $ 983 million). Gold reserves fell by $ 50.4 million.

According to the Central Bank, Uzbekistan's gold and foreign exchange reserves as of March 1, 2022 amounted to $ 35.36 billion. That's $ 935.6 million more than on February 1.

Foreign exchange reserves played a key role in increasing aggregate reserves. These reserves rose to $ 983 million from $ 12.545 billion on Feb. 1 to $ 13.528 billion on March 1.
