Uzbekistan's tourism potential to be promoted on BBC and CNN

BBC, the world's largest news broadcasting company operating in more than 40 languages, with more than 23 thousand employees, and CNN, covering the countries of North America, Europe and Asia, promote the rich tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Agzamov held a meeting in the form of a videoconference with the head of the commercial service of the British corporation "BBC World News Eurasia", the general producer of "Dars Films" Sergey Stanovkin. He also met with Imran Ahmad, CNN Corporation's regional director for Asia and Africa.

It should be noted that in 2022, the ministry, together with the international TV channel "BBC World News" with the corporation and its news portal, launched an advertising campaign to promote the rich tourism potential of the country.

The meeting discussed issues of further development of cooperation with the BBC, in particular, the continuation of a joint PR campaign in 2023, the implementation of projects and activities to promote the tourism potential, rich history, culture and traditions of Uzbekistan on the information platforms of the British Broadcasting Corporation.

During the talks with CNN Regional Director for Asia and Africa Imran Ahmad, issues of cooperation with the TV channel in the implementation of an advertising campaign to promote the tourism potential, rich cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan were discussed.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached on the implementation of a joint long-term PR campaign with CNN, as well as projects to promote the tourism potential, rich history, culture and traditions of Uzbekistan on the corporation's information platforms.
