UZS’s graphic symbol has been selected
The Central Bank has completed a competition to develop a national currency symbol.
In February, the Central Bank announced a tender to create a national currency symbol, which was designed to identify the best graphic works that reflect the uniqueness, cultural values and unique features of the national currency.
As a result, 508 creative projects were selected and each was given an individual code to ensure confidentiality.
All projects underwent technical examination, i.e compliance with the selection criteria. 54 projects were submitted to the jury for consideration.
At the final stage of the competition, the projects were evaluated by representatives of the Central Bank, the National Institute of Art and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod and the Intellectual Property Agency.
The evaluation of the projects by the members of the selection committee was carried out according to the following criteria:
Uniqueness and originality;
Universality;
Symbolic and distinctive features;
Ease of graphic perception of the character in different formats.
At the end of competition, the jury selected the graphic symbol developed by Jumagaldiev Sarvar as the most creative project that vividly reflects the uniqueness of the national currency symbol of Uzbekistan.
