Deputy Chairman of the Athletics Federation of Uzbekistan Andrey Abduvaliev told reporters about the first YUGUR mobile application for runners in Uzbekistan. The application is a national database where each registered participant can save personal information about their physical activity in running and walking in their personal account. The application will implement an overall rating of registered users based on sports results. Also, through the application, runners will be able to register for major sporting events and quickly see the results of the race in their office using the transponder system,
“In order to popularize mass sports among the population, races have been organized in the regions of Uzbekistan since 2019. We started with a thousand participants and reached one hundred thousand runners by 2022. In order to strengthen this result, it was decided to introduce a modern mobile application available to everyone - YUGUR. The YUGUR app will become a good platform for building a running community in the regions, allowing runners to professionally monitor their results and improve their performance, and cross-country beginners not to lose interest in sports,” Andrey Abduvaliev emphasized.
