Vaccination against monkeypox has started in Sweden

Currently, 85 people have been confirmed to be infected with monkeypox in the country. Most of the cases were detected in Stockholm, with 65 cases.
For this reason, Sweden started offering vaccination against monkeypox to those who have been in contact with infected citizens since July 28 this year.
Public health agency guidelines recommend vaccination for anyone who has had close contact with symptomatic mumps.
For information, monkeypox is a rare viral infection that can be transmitted between humans. The illness is usually mild and most people recover within a few weeks, but some may develop complications. Early symptoms include fever, headache, muscle aches, back pain, swollen lymph nodes, chills, and fatigue. The rash often starts on the face and then spreads to other parts of the body.
