Visit of the summit participants to old and modern Samarkand

As we reported, on September 8-9, the next 14th summit of women leaders of the parliaments of the Inter-Parliamentary Union member states was held in Tashkent. Today, on September 10, the participants of the Summit visited the ancient and always famous city of Samarkand under the leadership of the Chairman of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva.
In the first half of the day, the participants of the summit visited the Mirzo Ulugbek observatory. It should be noted that Muhammad Taragai Mirzo Ulugbek, the beloved grandson of Amir Temur, made a great contribution to the development of science and culture as a great astronomer, scientist and ruler.
Another object visited by the guests was the mausoleum of Khoja Daniyor. This historic place is considered a holy place of pilgrimage for representatives of three religions. Such blessed places are rare in the world.
After that, the Summit participants visited the Shakhi Zinda memorial complex, which is considered a unique historical and architectural structure. The unique corridors and majestic buildings of the complex made a great impression on the guests.
Bibikhanum complex. As soon as they step into the mosque, its huge facade fascinates tourists. The center of the courtyard is decorated with a marble slab dedicated to the Holy Qur'an from the 7th century. This unique architectural monument captivated the guests who visited the complex.
