Visit to UWED by representatives of Ibn Khaldun University

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent was visited on November 10 this year by a delegation led by Nejmaddin Bilal Erdogan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ibn Khaldun University in Istanbul.

Ibn Khaldun University was founded in 2017 on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Turkiye. The university currently has 1,800 students. Among them are foreign students from 81 countries.

During the meeting, Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdukadir Tashkulov introduced the delegation of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy to the Turkish guests and congratulated them on their visit to Uzbekistan.

First vice-rector on educational work, Durbek Amanov made a welcoming speech and warm wishes from Rector Sadik Safoev to the delegation of Ibn Khaldun University.

Rector of Ibn Khaldun University Atilla Arkan, chairman of the board of trustees of the university Irfan Gunduz and Deputy chairman of the Board of Trustees Nejmeddin Bilal Erdogan thanked the Uzbek side, as well as the staff of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy for the warm welcome during the meeting.

They said interuniversity student relations will rise to a new level. They stressed the implementation of exchange programs for students and faculty, and suggested organizing a joint one-week summer camp between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and Ibn Khaldun University.

At the end of the meeting the parties signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation.
