Ways of Economic Prosperity with the Partnership of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan

The next important meeting of Sardor Umurzakov was held with the Minister of Industry and New Technologies Sh.Kabir and the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Z. Zavkizoda.

During the talks, the sides discussed the existing opportunities and prerequisites for enhancing bilateral trade, economic, investment and industrial cooperation between the two countries, the press service of the ministry reports.

The positive dynamics of the Uzbek-Tajik trade was noted: in the first four months of this year alone, the volume of mutual trade increased by 40% in relation to the same period last year. The parties emphasized the existing potential for the development of trade relations between the countries and expressed their readiness for practical cooperation in this area. An agreement was reached on the completion of the approval of the list of new trade contracts in the electrical, chemical, textile, leather and footwear, pharmaceutical and food industries, planned to be signed within the framework of the upcoming high-level visit.
