Ways to expand interaction with the Eurasian Economic Commission

The Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov met with the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) M. Myasnikovich on October 28 in Moscow.

An agreement was reached on the joint development of a "Roadmap" for interaction with the EEC in order to build up trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and the EAEU member states, which includes specific measures for cooperation of the relevant ministries and departments of the country with the relevant EEC divisions in such areas, such as trade, industry, customs and tax administration, technical regulation, sanitary and phytosanitary standards, energy, pharmaceuticals, labor migration and other areas.

The parties also agreed to work together to attract potential investors from the EAEU member states to establish industrial cooperation and implement joint investment projects.
