"Today, the role of the Organization of Turkic States has significantly increased. Kazakhstan is the ancestral land of the Turkic world, so we attach great importance to the development of comprehensive cooperation. We are interested in further strengthening our cooperation and bringing it to a new level," the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.

"The history of the emergence of organizations uniting Turkic countries shows that most of them, including Turksoy, Turkpa, the Turkic Academy, were created on the initiative of Kazakhstan. These organizations have become real agents of cultural and spiritual rapprochement of our brotherly peoples.Today the role of the Organization of Turkic States has significantly increased. We are interested in strengthening cooperation and bringing it to a new level. We must become a powerful and influential force," Tokayev said in his speech at the Samarkand summit.
