Within the framework of the GSP+ system, 6 thousand 200 types of products are allowed to be exported to Europe without customs duties

A meeting was held in the presence of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to increase the effectiveness of the work carried out in the field of standardization.

“In our development strategy, we have set a big goal to increase the volume of exports to $ 30 billion. We created all the floors for this.

Last year, within the framework of the GSP+ system, an opportunity was created to export 6 thousand 200 types of products to Europe without customs duties.

But over the past year, the types of products exported to European countries have increased by 79 units (643 units in total), the number of entrepreneurs has increased by 102 units (579 units in total),” the head of state said at the beginning of the meeting.

It was noted that the growth rate was very low and the main factors that prevented it were listed. These include:

government agencies that respond to standard, certification and laboratory issues do not look at the increase in exports as a priority task for themselves;

standard, quarantine, veterinary offices and hygienic laboratories without pursuing a single policy, do not want to support the entrepreneur;

there is a need to organize 150 modern laboratories in the regions.
