Within the framework of the Turkic Council, the «e-Permit» system between Uzbekistan and Turkey will be launched

On June 30 of this year, a meeting of the working group of Uzbekistan and Turkey was held in Tashkent to discuss and coordinate the technical aspects of the implementation of the «e-Permit» system aimed at digitalizing cargo transportation permits.
In order to implement this initiative within the framework of the Turkic Council, a bilateral working group on «e-Permit» was established at the beginning of this year with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkey, which included specialists and IT experts from the ministries of transport and customs departments of the two countries.
During today's meeting of the working group held within the framework of the Uzbek-Turkish Mixed Transport Commission, the parties discussed in detail technical issues related to the implementation of the «e-Permit» system, and also determined further steps to launch this system before September 2021.
The event was also attended by Mirvohid Azimov, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council, who noted the importance of digitalization of transport operations and customs formalities in simplifying and accelerating international cargo transportation and increasing cargo traffic between the Organization's member states. He also stressed that in the future this project will be expanded at the expense of the other member states of the Turkic Council.
