World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education

II World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education "Wcecece" started its work on November 14 at the Congress Center in Tashkent.

This global forum is organized by UNESCO and the Government of Uzbekistan. For the first time since 2010 about 1500 delegates from more than 150 countries are taking part in conference's events.

Agrippina Shin, the Minister of Preschool Education of Uzbekistan, has been elected as a chairwoman of the World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education. The forum is also a logical continuation of the recent UN summit on transforming education.

A conference drafting committee will be formed as part of the event, and a decision on the conference's composition and terms of reference is expected on the recommendation of the conference secretariat. It is noted that it will be the responsibility of the drafting committee to present the final conference document for discussion and adoption in plenary.
