Zelensky invited Putin to hold negotiations

"I would like to once again address Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation. Fighting is raging across Ukraine. "Let's negotiate to stop the deaths”, Zelensky told Putin in his appeal.

Vladimir Zelenskiy, Ukrainian President requested to organize a negotiation on situation in Donbas.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is ready to hold talks at any time, provided that Ukrainian armed forces would have to lay down their arms.

Vladimir Putin announced in a televised address to the nation on the morning of February 24 that a "special military operation" had been launched in the Donbas region. And bombings began in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Odessa and other Ukrainian cities as soon as the Russian leader's address ended.

International community has since strongly condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine and announced a new package of sanctions against Moscow.
