In our country the Academy of law enforcement bodies will be created

Presidential Decree "On introducing a qualitatively new system of training qualified personnel in the sphere of crime investigation" has been passed. According to it, the Academy of law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be established under the Academy of the General Prosecutor's Office.

It is planned that the specialized branch of the Tashkent State University of Law will be eliminated, and its staff, training and material and technical base will be transferred to the Academy.

From academic year 2023-2024 the Academy will organize a full educational process at the two-level system of higher education, a bachelor's and master's degree in the field of investigation and other areas of law enforcement activity.

It is reported that the annual admission quota for the direction of investigative activity will be up to 250 students on the bachelor's program and up to 50 employees of the authorized state bodies with higher legal education on the master's program.

Also the term of training in the Academy makes up three years according to the Bachelor's degree program and one year according to the Master's degree program in the direction of investigative activity, the graduates are issued state sample diplomas confirming the completion of an appropriate stage of higher legal education.

Training in an educational institution is organized on the basis of state grants and contracts. Graduates of the Academy in the direction of investigative activity when entering the service (military service) in the authorized state bodies shall be appointed only to the positions included in the officer staff or provided for by the assignment of rank.

At the same time, graduates of the bachelor's degree of the Academy, who graduated on the basis of state grants, shall be obliged to work in the authorized state bodies for not less than 3 years.
