International Monetary Fund forecasts global inflation to slow

"If our calculations are correct, global inflation will slow down this year and next," Gita Gopinath, first deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund, said during her speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
But, he added, there have been many unexpected developments recently. Fortunately, inflation is returning to safe levels.
Earlier, IMF Director of Distribution Kristalina Georgieva expressed confidence that countries will be able to adapt to the situation and establish a supply chain. If no steps are taken to expand global trade, the cost of losses could be as much as 7 per cent of global GDP. He said it would cost about $7 trillion, equivalent to the GDP of Germany and Japan combined.
P.S. Earlier we reported that the World Economic Forum (WEF) has started in Davos, Switzerland. This international economic conference, which will be held from 16 to 20 January, is being held under the slogan "Cooperation in a Fragmented World".
