Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held several meetings with CEOs of leading companies in Singapore as part of the programme of the Uzbek delegation's visit to Singapore. An Uzbek-Singapore business forum was also held during the visit.

"I am confident that the upcoming high-level visit will be a new milestone in the history of our partnership. We are determined to take full advantage of the upcoming summit and enrich it with strong, concrete and practical agreements and activities. We look forward to working closely with our Singaporean friends to achieve this goal.

As a result of the reforms carried out in our country to create a favourable investment environment, last year Uzbekistan's economy grew by 5%. Our economy will continue to grow this year and will exceed 5%. We have set the goal of doubling our gross domestic product by 2030.

As a result of the implementation of reforms in the next 10 years, the GDP will increase twice to $160 billion, exports will also double to $30 billion. The share of the private sector in GDP will reach 80%. We have set a clear goal - to become one of the upper middle income countries of the world by 2030. We have both the will and the opportunity to do so," said Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov in his speech at the business forum.
