Shavkat Mirziyoyev told how the problem of traffic jams in Tashkent will be solved.

Due to the growth of the population of Tashkent and their income in recent years, the number of personal vehicles has increased 2-3 times, more than 700-800 thousand people move along the streets of the city every day.

Therefore, in the next five years, a program for the development of all types of transport, inextricably linked in the city, will be adopted.

At the same time, the following will be built: 16 large bus stations at the intersection of surface transport and metro lines; parking lots at about 6 metro stations leading to the city in Chilanzar, Yunusabad and Yashnabad districts; 80 multi-storey parking lots for 40 thousand cars on central streets; 21 overpasses on streets with high traffic intensity; The construction of the Kuylik-Kipchak section with a length of 13 kilometers of the underground ring road of the subway, consisting of 7 stations, will be completed.

Also, a system of "smart regulation" of traffic will be introduced, to which 500 large intersections of the city will be connected, about 200 regular bus routes will be organized, 400 modern buses, 700 electric buses will be brought to renew the public transport fleet, 90 new modern metro trains will be brought, 2 times.

The system of subsidizing bus transportation will also be revised. Now subsidies to carriers are provided not for the number of passengers, but for the number of routes and flights.

In addition, 3 trillion 200 billion soums will be allocated for the repair of 1.8 thousand kilometers of roads and internal streets.
