President of the Republic of Kazakhstan pays a visit to our country

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Samarkand to participate in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States.

At the international airport of Samarkand the high guest was met by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.

Kazakhstan became a member of the Organization of Turkic States (then called the Turkic Council) on October 3, 2009 and since then it has put forward a number of initiatives and promising proposals.

It is worth noting that Kazakhstan is at the top of the list of countries with which Uzbekistan is actively cooperating.

Moreover, on October 28 this year, memorandums on cooperation between ports of Kazakhstan Kurik and Aktau as well as Uztemiryulkonteyner were signed at the 6th meeting of transport ministers of Turkic states organization in Tashkent.

We also remind that on October 27 this year in the capital of Kazakhstan Astana the first summit "Central Asia - European Union" was held. Leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, who met at the summit, held mutual negotiations on the progress of multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
