Armen Sarkissian, Armenia’s President has resigned

"I pondered for a long time and after four years of active work I decided to resign as President of Armenia. It is a decision based on logic, not emotion”- the appeal notes in the presidential site.

Armen Sarkissian became the fourth President of Armenia in the spring of 2018. During 1996 and 1997s he served as Physicist, Ambassador of Armenia to various countries and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
