Protection of the population from emergency situations is defined by the Law

The President signed the Law "On Protection of Population and Territories from Natural and Man-made Emergency Situations". According to it, citizens will be given free medical care, compensations and other benefits for working in emergency zones.

According to the law, emergency situations are divided into the following depending on the source of occurrence:

emergencies of a natural nature;
man-made emergency situations.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations is a specially authorized state management body in the field of protection against emergency situations.

Citizens are given free medical care, compensations and other benefits for working in emergency zones.

The following regimes of the State Emergency Situations System are established in a specific area depending on the scale and state of the predicted or actual emergency situation:

daily regime - when there is no danger of emergency situations occurring in a specific area, facility;
high preparedness mode – when there is a risk of emergency situations;
emergency regime - when emergency situations occur and during emergency situations.
Concealing, failing to provide timely or knowingly providing false information regarding emergency protection is prohibited.
