Star Med Center clinic where MittiVine blogger died temporarily shut down

The operation of a private clinic Star Med Center, in which well-known blogger Farhod Mannopov (MittiVine) died, has been temporarily suspended in Tashkent. Jalaliddin Asamutdinov, head of the licensing, accreditation and medical tourism development department of the Health Ministry, said.
He said that preliminary investigation revealed that patient Farhod Mannopov went to Star Med Center Clinic in Tashkent on March 3 this year with complaints of shortness of breath through the nose and recurrent headaches.
The day before he came to the clinic, the deceased had hit his forehead and nose on the wall of the swimming pool while swimming and sustained an injury. After laboratory tests and a CT scan, a deviated septum, hyperplasia of the temporal lobes, and hyperplasia of the middle and lower nasal folds were established.
The patient was then operated on, with the consent of the patient. He was given endotracheal anaesthesia for rhinoseptoplasty.
However, during the operation the deceased's condition deteriorated sharply. Despite intensive and resuscitation measures, biological death was recorded on March 5 this year around 03:22.
"At present, the operation of Star Med Centre clinic has been temporarily suspended due to investigative activities. Also, the Ministry of Health together with the relevant authorities are investigating the death of citizen Farhod Mannopov in the prescribed manner," said Jaloliddin Asamutdinov.
