The Labour Code has been adopted in a new version

The President has signed the Act approving the Labour Code.
According to the Labour Code, the basic principles of the legal regulation of individual labour relations and directly related social relations are:
-Equality of labour rights and the prohibition of discrimination in employment and occupation;
-Freedom of labour and prohibition of forced labour;
-Social partnership in the area of employment;
-Guaranteed protection of labour rights and the performance of labour obligations;
-Inadmissibility of any worsening of an employee's legal situation.
In particular, freedom of labour means everyone's right to dispose of his or her abilities to work, to exercise them in any form not prohibited by law, to freely choose an occupation, profession and speciality, place of work and working conditions.
The State provides additional guarantees for the employment of socially vulnerable categories of the population.
This law shall enter into force six months after its official publication.
After the entry into force of this law, the former Law "On Approval of the Labour Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan" loses its force.
