The World Shooting Championship was moved to Azerbaijan

The 2023 World Shooting Championship will be held in Azerbaijan. Earlier, this competition was planned to be held in Russia on August 14-31, 2023.

The tournament was moved to Azerbaijan by the decision of the Executive Committee of the International Sports Shooting Federation (ISSF).

P.S. on March 7, 2022, the ISSF Executive Committee excluded Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in international tournaments until further notice due to the situation in Ukraine. Russia has also lost the right to host the European Shooting Championships in August and September 2022.
