During three months, 700.3 trillion soums were drawn in cash through banks

In January-March 2023, the volume of cash turnover through bank accounts was 173.9 trillion soums. This is 23.6 percent more than in the same period in 2022.

In particular, cash receipts to banks increased by 24.2 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 87.8 trillion soums.

In the first quarter of 2023, the volume of cash issued at the cash desks of banks (including ATMs) increased by 23 percent compared to January-March 2022 and amounted to 86.1 trillion soums.

In January-March 2023, total cash receipts (cash and terminal receipts) amounted to 140.8 trillion soums, increasing for 37 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2022.

In particular, the share of receipts through the terminal in total cash receipts increased from 31.2 percent in the first quarter of 2022 to 37.6 percent in the corresponding period of 2023.
