Uzbekistan will join the World Trade Organization (WTO)

L. Kudratov, First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, held talks with D. McAllister, Chairman of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The current state of commercial, economic, investment, financial and technical cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian relations were canvassed during the meeting.

In particular, issues, such as accelerating the signing of the Extended Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPA), further expanding the cooperation in the framework of the accession of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and using the European Union's GSP + Preference System were considered.

In addition, the issues of organizing the 5th meeting of the Working Group on Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO were discussed.
