Who should be protected from the abnormal cold?

As reported, Uzbekistan will experience abnormally cold weather this week. How does climate change affect human health? How to avoid its detrimental effects? The deputy minister of health gave advice on the matter.
"Severe cold often leads to severe vasoconstriction. Such unfavourable weather adversely affects patients suffering from diseases such as hypertension, atherosclerosis of cerebral vessels, post-stroke and heart attack states, angina pectoris. Head and heart pains are of concern," said the deputy minister.
Also complications during the active period of the disease increase in patients with bronchial and lung diseases, bronchial asthma in particular. That is, when you go outdoors, the risk of bronchospasm or angina increases. For this reason, such people should carry medication with them, which they take regularly, as recommended by their doctor.
In addition, abnormal cold can also be a cause of worsening the general condition of patients with skin and kidney diseases. Because in such conditions there is a high probability of freezing of body organs.
Therefore, you should wear warm and thick clothing to avoid frostbite. It is very important to wear gloves and woollen socks. You should especially keep your head and neck, where the large blood vessels are located, warm. This is because the veins in the neck supply blood to the human brain.
During abnormal cold it is better to give up alcohol and tobacco. Consequently, these bad habits may cause short-term freezing of the hands and feet, sharply narrowing the blood vessels.
On cold days, it is essential to eat breakfast in the morning. Starvation causes rapid freezing of the body and a weakening of the immune system. It is advisable to increase the caloric content of food by 25-30% compared to hot days. Hot and liquid foods are very useful in this case.
On abnormally cold days, it is advisable to stay outdoors less and keep children and the elderly outdoors.
